2009 Competition Announced!  Screenplay Festival is now accepting entries for the 2009 competition. The final deadline is October 1.

2008 Winners Announced!  Congratulations to our 2008 Winners! We would like to sincerely thank everyone who submitted their work in the 2008 competition. We particularly appreciate everyone's patience with what turned into a much longer judging period than we expected. Keep writing!

Afraid to miss the next deadline?  We have the answer!  If you send an email to reminder@screenplayfestival.com, you will automatically receive two emails: one just before the August 1 early entry Deadline and another just before the October 1 final deadline.  Email addresses submitted will never be sold or shared, and we will never send spam or any other messages to the email addresses submitted.  (Please remember to add reminder@screenplayfestival.com to you address book to prevent your email service from blocking the reminder.)

Screenplay Festival Offers Script Analysis! Writers constantly ask if they can receive written feedback from our judges. We have set up a program so that you can!  Visit the Script Analysis page to learn more.

Major Companies Reading Previous Winners! We know that every writer entering a screenplay contest asks, “Who will my script get to if I win?” You can always look at our list of sponsors; however, additional companies often contact us. Among the companies who have recently requested a look at our winners are Regency Entertainment, Samuel Goldwyn Films, the Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon.

A Note To Previous Winners: Remember to not lose touch with us! We are contacted all the time by companies interested in our past winners. Contact us with your current email address and stay in the loop!

"Screenplay Festival was a great experience.  I won an honorable mention for my screenplay Clutch and dozens of managers, agents and production companies have requested to read it.  I'd recommend Screenplay Festival to any and all aspiring screenwriters."

Louis Tripodes, Clutch
Honorable Mention Winner, 2007

"Screenplay Festival is simply the BEST. They produce results, help writers generate leads, and keep working long after the contest is done for the year. Truly great. I'm looking forward to doing this again."

Lis Anna, Stuck in the Middle
Honorable Mention Winner, 2006

"After winning an Honorable Mention in 2003, I kept writing and entering contests. In 2006, I entered my fourth screenplay and won the Grand Prize. Screenplay Festival is definitely one of the most professionally run contests. I have received a handful of inquiries from production companies and plan to go on safari to hunt down and bag a Hollywood agent, that most elusive of SoCal animals."

Dave Vaughan, A Task of Draculian Proportions: The Quest for Kermit the Vampire
Grand Prize Winner, 2006
